New Product Developments GEM Ltd. has developed a range of materials suitable for plastic electronic structures. This product range includes conductive as well as insulative inks. Using our special technology we can produce materials for reel to reel printing, materials for flexible circuits, materials for flexible solar cells, materials for printable batteries and many other applications GEM Ltd. has developed a range of materials suitable for application by INK JET equipment. This product range includes conductive as well as insulative inks. Using our special technology we can produce both low temperature inks for polymer substrates and high temperature inks for firing onto ceramic substrates. GEM Ltd. A new range of Bio-sensor inks has just been released. These have been developed especially for disposable glucose sensors. They have went used in combination exceedingly low CV values and low background current, thus enabling rapid accurate measurements. The system consists of a Carbon paste, a dielectric overcoat and if required, a silver paste to go under the carbon to enhance conductivity. Additionally water based materials are now possible for biosensor products. Please contact us for full technical details for this new exciting product range. GEM Ltd. A new range of materials for the Electroluminescent market. A full range of various coloured Phosphor Pastes that are conrolled to colours of CIE 1931 using x,y parameters. A Dielectric Paste that gives the reflectance and high capacitance that is needed. A Silver Based Paste to contact onto ITO coated polymer film. A highly Conductive Carbon Paste to act as the other electrode. This can be complimented with a silver layer for larger panels. Dielectric and phosphor pastes are also available for high brightness and long life panels. Please contact us for full technical details for this new exciting product range or use this direct link to our Electroluminescent Catalogue:- Electroluminescent Product Catalogue GEM Ltd. Are developing a new range of Low Fire Materials. Using new advanced technology we have managed to reduce the firing temperature of metallic based pastes from a normal of 400 to 450°C to the range of 150 to 350°C. This new revolutionary type of system means that it is now additionally possible to fire onto polymeric rather than ceramic materials. Additionally these new materials with their extremely low firing temperature may be used to provide contact to, or circuits upon Aluminium metal. GEM Ltd. / AET Ltd. Applied Enzyme Technology Ltd. together with Gwent Electronic Materials is due shortly to launch our new Intercompany product the HANDI-LAB. A fully portable hand held robust instrument that is able to detect "Ammonia" in water sources in seconds even when the contamination is as low as 1 p.p.m

We have found that it is possible to produce Precious Metal Coatings which are able to connect directly to base metal systems at a temperatures below which oxidation would normally be a problem. These modifications to the metallic film give the ability to render the surface easily solderable. In future GEM Ltd. will be offering a full range of BASE METAL POWDERS for sale within Europe, as well as our normal range of BASE METAL INKS which are available world-wide. Gem's latest products for MLCC Termination is a Polymeric Dipping Paste which, after curing, is directly solderable following electroplating. GEM has developed a range of Firing External Termination Pastes suitable for dipping applications onto MLCC and other ceramic chips. |
Working for GEM Ltd. GEM Ltd. and its associated companies are a rapidly expanding group. If you would like the opportunity to work in this field, please contact us.
