Gwent Group Ltd are pleased to announce a new joint venture with Ammanford based Perpetuus Carbon Group Ltd (‘PCG’). The newly formed new joint venture company is called Perpetuus Electronic Materials Ltd (‘PEM’). PEM will develop and integrate graphene enabled materials into new electronics and sensor products, which the Gwent Group will market to its extensive customer base.

Perpetuus Carbon Group Ltd (, are the world’s leading producer and supplier of high quality nano surface engineered graphenes. They will be able to supply the joint venture with industrial quantities of specific graphene materials, surface engineered to our specifications.

Using Gwent’s considerable experience in the field of materials science the joint venture will quickly bring to market fully formulated products, ready to use in electronics, sensors and in associated product fields. We predict the new company Perpetuus Electronic Materials Ltd will rapidly become a major player in the field of advance electronic materials and novel applications

A New Range of Thermophilic and Novel Mutant Enzymes.

Alcohol Dehydrogenase : Optimum working temperature 65C used for the detection of primary alcohols/ biosensor applications.
Pyrrolindine carboxyl peptidase (PCP): Optimal working temperature 50C used for the hydrolysis of N-terminal pyroglutamate residues from peptides and proteins.
Bromoperoxidase: Optimal working temperature greater than 60C.Used for the bromination of hydrocarbons and used as a direct replacement for the detection of H2O2 by horseradish peroxidase in diagnostic kits. Also used as an anti-bactericidal reaction system. Highly stable in organic solvents.
Fructose-1,6-Bisphosphate Aldolase, Type II: Optimal operating temperature 60C. Used in chiral chemical applications for the formation of carbon carbon bonds.

A range of Nitroreductases used for the detection of Trinitrotoluene (TNT) & RDX (royal demolition explosive)/ used in biosensor applications. Detection levels parts per trillion.

We have now available new pastes that can be printed using continuous roll to roll processes, these pastes after printing are electricaly conductive and can also be electrochemically active.
